Frequently Asked Questions

Must my child attend Ebenezer or Union-Canal Elementary to play for EUC?

No. Our club accepts players from any part of Lebanon County.

What age can my child begin playing for EUC?

Your son/daughter must have turned the age of 4 by January 1, 2014 in order to play.

How are the age groups determined?

Ages are determined by the players date of birth.  Whatever level the player plays in the Fall season, they can continue to play in the Spring.  Click on the link below to view the age group chart showing what level your child should play:

When does the season begin?

Practices for the Fall season begin in late August.  Practices for the Spring start in Early March.

When are practices held?

Practices days and times are determined by the coach and are determined by availability of the fields and the coaching staff.  They are usually during the week after 5:30 p.m.

When are the games held?

Soccer games are usually played on Saturday mornings, but there may be 1 or 2 weekday games.  Games usually start on Saturdays between 9:00am - 1:00pm.  Games that are played on weekdays usually begin at 6:00pm.

Are all the games Coed?

No.  Only the U6 teams are Coed.  All other teams are divided.

Can my son/daughter request to play with a friend?

Yes, you may make such request.  However, a request is just that.  We will do everything possible to meet the request, but they are not guaranteed.

How do I volunteer to coach?

The best way is to come to our monthly meetings but you can also get in contact with our club president.  We are always looking for people willing to help in any way possible.

Do I need to have played soccer in school to be able to coach?

No.  The most important part of coaching youth soccer is enthusiasm!  If you are willing to dedicate some of your free time, we will help you any way we can.

Is there any other ways I can help the club?

YES!  We are a volunteer organization so without volunteers, the club wouldn't be able to survive.  We could always use help with field lining, field layout, team snack coordination, and we could always use more help with our fundraisers.  Contact a board member to volunteer!

Where does my registration fee go?

EUC makes every effort to keep our registration fees to be one of the lowest in the county but there are still costs involved in playing in an organized league.  Registration fees alone do not cover all of our costs.  If we didn't have fundraisers, our fees would need to be much higher to cover our costs, so the best way to keep your costs down is to support our fundraiser's as much as you can!

Each player's registration fees are used to pay:

     1)  League registration fees

     2)  EPYSA registration fees

     3)  GotSoccer fees

     4)  Referee fees (referees are paid, coaches are not)

     5)  Field use fees

     6)  Field maintenance equipment and supplies (paint, nets, balls, etc...)

     7)  Trophies/team parties

     8)  Background checks for coaches/volunteers
